2. Cookie Categories We Use
Essential cookies enable core functionality such as authentication, session management, security (CSRF protection), and user preferences. The site cannot function properly without them. You cannot opt out of essential cookies while continuing to use our services.
- Maintain your logged-in session in the AI-STORMS portal
- Store CSRF tokens to protect against cross-site request forgery attacks
- Remember your cookie consent preference
- Enforce security policies on authenticated requests
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website — which pages are visited, how long users spend on each page, where they come from, and where they exit. This data helps us improve the product and content.
- Page views, session length, and navigation paths
- Traffic source attribution (organic, paid, referral)
- Feature usage patterns inside the portal
- Funnel conversion analysis for signup and onboarding flows
We use PostHog for analytics. PostHog is not initialized until you grant analytics consent. See Section 6 for details.
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites and to enable us to show advertising that is relevant and engaging. Currently, our use of marketing cookies is limited to Google Analytics (GA4) conversion tracking if you have consented. We do not currently run retargeting advertising campaigns.
- Conversion tracking for paid search and social campaigns (if active)
- Measuring the effectiveness of our marketing spend
4. Your Consent & Preferences
When you first visit ai-storms.com, a cookie consent banner will appear. You may:
- Accept All — enables essential, analytics, and marketing cookies.
- Reject All — only essential cookies will be set; analytics and marketing cookies will not load.
- Manage Preferences — toggle individual categories on or off.
Your preference is stored in the ai_storms_consent cookie for 12 months. You can change your preference at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer.
Analytics cookies (PostHog) will not be initialized until you provide explicit consent. If you reject analytics cookies, PostHog will not load and no tracking data will be collected for your session.
5. Browser-Level Controls
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View all cookies set by websites you visit
- Block cookies from all sites or specific sites
- Delete all or specific cookies
- Set cookies to expire when you close your browser
Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to the AI-STORMS portal and using authenticated features.
Browser-specific instructions are available from major browser vendors:
6. PostHog Analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog collects usage data including page views, session recordings, feature interactions, and custom events. Data is stored in PostHog's cloud infrastructure (US region).
PostHog is only initialized after you accept analytics cookies. If you reject analytics cookies, PostHog will not load, and no behavioral data will be collected or transmitted.
PostHog's Privacy Policy is available at posthog.com/privacy. You may also opt out of PostHog tracking globally at posthog.com/opt-out.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our technology, services, or legal requirements. When material changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, re-prompt you for consent.
